The original battery installation consisted of two lead acid domestic batteries and a single lead acid engine starter battery. The starter battery was moved and the two domestic batteries replaced with two 280Ah LifePO4. There is now room for a BMS, fuse and isolator for each battery, making each battery a self contained supply. There is also room for the negative busbar and a DC-DC charger. The batteries are normally fitted with a cover, as well as the screwed down plywood top to the sofa base.
