The wiring on this Colvic was very much out of date, lots of things added and removed over the years and some very untidy, potentially dangerous, wiring.
The battery switching and monitoring was a nightmare. The switching and charging were completely rewired, numerous shunts and wiring beneath the chart table were removed, a Victron battery monitor, Cerbo and Touch Display were installed.
Several shunts for the old battery monitoring beneath the chart table were removed. The battery cables were old and under sized, plus they ran half way around the saloon. These were also removed and replaced with the correct size cables, taking a much shorter route, using one third of the cable previously used.
The inverter wiring was downright dangerous.
